Repair of previous surgeries

A hair transplant repair procedure is a surgical intervention that aims to correct hair transplant surgeries that achieve unsatisfactory results. Patients who have undergone previous hair transplant procedures may experience poor hairline design, hair density, visible scarring, or bald areas. Poor hair transplant results can be both embarrassing and traumatic, as the transplanted hair is permanent.

Hair restoration surgery involves extracting hair grafts from the donor area, such as the back of the head, and transplanting them to the recipient area to achieve a beautiful, natural-looking result.

To perform the procedure the FUE technique is used; However, it will depend on the patient's needs and the surgeon's recommendations. Hair transplant repairs can help patients regain confidence themselves by restoring a new, fuller, more natural-looking head of hair.

What are the causes of unnatural hair transplant results?

Unnatural distribution of grafts.

Poor density

Poor placement of grafts causes the hair to point in the wrong direction

Ancient hair transplant techniques

Poorly designed hairlines (too low, too high, or asymmetrical)

Over-extraction of grafts with FUE causing visible scars

Extensive FUT scars

restauración de cirugías previas

What techniques are used in hair transplant repair?

Incision sites should be made with very fine instruments to avoid visible scarring. With the FUE technique, the punches used to extract the grafts using FUE must have a maximum of 0.8 mm. The incision angle of the grafts must be carefully determined to achieve natural and neat results.

Recipient sites are prepared with lateral indentations that will result in a denser, fuller appearance. Grafts transplanted in incorrect locations or in incorrect directions can be successfully removed and replanted.
